That may be the most depressing headline I have ever seen--and that is going some.

"Most frightening of all is how this exact same pattern keeps appearing in virtually every system critical to our society and way of life," Dr. Moors stated.

1. If they were truely concerned

about the deficit they wouldn't be happy to continue the lowest tax rates in 60 years and they would not be happy to continue outspending the entire world on the bloated U.S. military. So I must call bullshit.

Hell, FICA contributions have propped up the government. The social security trust fund is the single largest creditor to the United States government. Yet to hear the Republicans tell it social security is responsible for the entire debt. They are just liars because they do not want to honor their debt to American citizens. Honoring the debt to foreigners is okay but not American citizens. Just fucking amazing.

2. Yes, FICA has come in very handy for the sticky fingered politicians, but

none of whom wants to raise taxes or cut spending. However, you would never know that by listening to the elected officials of either Party these days. GBMA ("Grand" Bargain, my ass.)

As to lowering taxes for the rich, aka job creators still more, as we all know, the Republicans have lied that, er, I mean, explained that, away many times. What they have not explained yet is how raising taxes on people who have to work to put food on the table, aka purchasing class, helps the economy. (One of the better lines of this campaign so far: It's Robin Hood in reverse. It's Romneyhood.)

But, I am sure Republicans will find a way to rationalize that that away before November.

What didn't work was the tax cuts for the rich that are still in effect.

I always get "worked beautifully" and "epic fail" mixed up.

I never flatter folks. Would not be able to live with myself if I did.

I just tell the truth and they think it's flattery.

He was far from perfect. No president has been perfect, even Washington and Lincoln. But, I do like a lot of Harry's quotes.
