Look out Pepsi and Coca Cola! Here comes Canna Cola, the medical pot soft drink!
Canna Cola, Doc Weed: Pot meets pop
Calif. entrepreneur has plans to market medical marijuana soft drinks
Associated Press
January 24, 2011

SOQUEL, Calif. — A California entrepreneur has plans to market a line medical marijuana soft drinks.

Clay Butler says he plans to supply medical marijuana dispensaries with his soda pot, which contains the psychoactive marijuana ingredient THC.

Marijuana drinks are already showing up here and there, but Butler says he thinks his branding savvy will make his product a hit.

Besides his flagship cola drink, Canna Cola, he will also produce Dr. Pepper-like Doc Weed, lemon-lime Sour Diesel, grape-flavored Grape Ape and orange-flavored Orange Kush.

1. mixing Coke with pot is just wrong.
Coke's natural drug partner is cocaine, not pot. Pot belongs in brownies.

Where you can buy Pot lollypops, hard candies, brownies, drinks, chocolates, cookies, and much much more.

Tell me, what is your evidence that this will not happen?

7. That's the kind of thing that will eventually get pushback

They still sell Ex-Lax in the form of a chocolate candy. IMHO, that kind of thing is just asking for trouble.

16. If you have a medical marijuana license, yes.
I have a lot of friends who are getting in on the ground floor of this. The state encourages it (albeit on the down-low) because it is a great boon to the economy.

13. Yep.
Ice cream, fudge, all kinds of goodies. I enjoyed hemp milk that was laced with potent extract. Very tasty!

The horse is way out of the barn in California and Colorado. :smoke:

8. Depends on the indication

Some of the problems with oral administration is with people who have esophageal problems, or are using it as an anti-emetic post chemotherapy. The issue with those groups is not being able to comfortably get anything down in the first place.

First time someone leaves this around where kids can get at it is going to cause a holy uproar.

22. I had some weed soda a couple months back...
Medi-Fizz. God awful. Got me a little buzzed. Not nearly as buzzed as the Weed Baklava the wife and I make.

And yes...living in Colorado right now, wouldn't want to be any other place at any other time.

The cannabis businessmen of Amsterdam are even beginning to move their operations here (shout out to Adam Dunn and THSeeds).

Colorado is the center of the universe for marijuana right now. Our laws are set up better than any other place in the world. At least that's what Adam and my connection at High Times are telling me. We're in a better place than Amsterdam (as Amsterdam is going back the other way with their laws right now).

There is a dispensary two blocks away. I've got a dozen within a mile. There's a grow/hydroponic store three blocks away.

If Humboldt and her sister counties are the Emerald Triangle, then the new name for Colorado (The Emerald Rectangle) is definitely appropriate.
