20. Yes, Dad.
Can I have a beer with it? I'm thinking a nice India Pale Ale would go well with it.

6. Did you really have to link a photo of a beautiful LIVE deer?
I've eaten my share of venison in my life, but really... That is rather tacky and unnecessarily provocative (which I am sure was the point. :eyes: ).

13. I eat meat, am not opposed to hunting; But, I don't post photos

of a beautiful living cow next to the steak on the table. Do you? Your "evil grin" used here doesn't even make sense.

I eat meat and I am not opposed to hunting. However, respect for the lives lost to sustain us, seems the minimum we can do as "humans."

7. If you kill it, you'd better eat and/or wear it. Otherwise, it's a sin, IMHO.
And, put in a good word of gratitude before supper. What kind of beer goes best with Venison Chile? A nice dark stout or porter would seem to work.

Destroyed my Shrubs, ate my tomatoes and pulled up my lily bulbs. The nerve of them even after I go to all the trouble of feeding them corn in the winter.

16. Don't think corn is good for deer
You might want to check, I remember reading something recently that corn was bad for deer in the winter. (Not meant as a snarky post either)

11. checking to see where you live, damn, too far to drop by
Sounds good. A dash of cinnamon can add that little bit that is needed, rather like the secret ingredient to pizza sauce is a tiny bit of cloves.

Glad you eat what is killed.

15. I am definitely a meat lover, never had deer but I'm sure it's very
tasty. But looking at that picture, I don't know if i could point a gun at him and pull the trigger. I would be more inclined to pat him and feed him something. Probably makes me a hypocrite, I know. I'll let someone else do the killin'
Hell, I found a mouse in my basement, instead of killing him I brought him outside and let him go, but i sternly told him not to come back! :-)

It was a her .... no horns = doe = better meat

trophy buck = :puke:

BTW you are better off to kill the mouse if it is a house mouse .... non native and spread disease ...
you can catch and rehabilitate them

I, for one, can't wait to start hunting them and eating them. OM NOM NOM!

19. Here, they tend toward the thin and stunted...
That's what happens when there are more of them than there is deer habitat and food. But, they're still tasty.
