Riot Police Guard Against Anti-Billionaire Protesters in Rancho Mirage. John Amato is on the scene

This is live video sent back from the Quarantine the Kochs rally in Rancho Mirage about an hour and a half ago. John Amato is on the scene and has called me a couple of times with updates. There are about 1500 people or so there, peacefully protesting the convocation of billionaires at the Rancho Las Palmas resort. The purpose of the meeting is to figure out how to impeach Obama and take over our government in order to preserve their wealth, justice, and liberty at the expense of ours. Glenn Beck was the keynote speaker last night, and Eric Cantor was also on the guest list. (Full list here (PDF))

Remarkably, there are scores of riot police guarding the driveways into the resort. The last report I've seen says 25 people have been arrested. Here's a shot posted earlier today:

At the end of that video you'll see more of them, even.

Andrew Breitbart has evidently caught the fever. It’s been reported that he’s hanging out with the protesters. Too lazy to walk, he’s sporting shorts and rollerblades. Be afraid. In his usual less-than-forthright manner, he claims “internal emails from organizers necessitate riot police.” Mmmhmmm.

4. Why a smiling picture of him with the word sedition?
Edited on Sun Jan-30-11 07:53 PM by RandomThoughts
Is he in support of a change to a more democratic system in Egypt, or is he making the same statement about the USA, if he is, why doesn't he say that on the news? I do understand you posting it is not speaking for him, but why do you post that correlation?

The Lawful Authority I have seen is for the people that have legitimate concerns of unjust rule, or if you don't like that reason, the lack of ability for the ruler to provide either choice of rule with proper information, or an equality of life that is at a modest level in areas of lack of intimidation and availability of services of many varieties.

And on a side note, most religious doctrine can be argued in that category if they include status quo over concepts of best results for most people. Although concepts of 'service instructions' are to remove problems of superiority complex, not to degrade. And limitations is due to more power more responsibility.

But the concept of authority would be for the people that are treated wrongly without a defensible argument against them. It would not be for a concept of authority for rulers that use some systems they are saying they are using for social control, when it creates problems in society.

Sedition can be argued for any system actually, since none are perfectly just, it depends on your fault tolerance of degrees of different levels of injustice, since all systems are a little unjust, so most of it is known possible systems compared to used system comparisons.

And of coarse authority to collect beer and travel money due to me, since that has not been argued against. :D

11. So which item on the agenda rises to the level of "sedition"?
Is it "Mobilizing Citizens for November"? ("Is there a chance this fall to elect leaders who are more strongly committed to liberty and prosperity?")

How about "What's the Outlook for Future Prosperity?" Or "Framing the debate on spending"? "Decision-making in philanthropy"? Perhaps "Cordials and Dessert Buffet"?

The Repubbies are gearing up to really put the screws to the 'little people' they so luv to manipulate with their corporate propaganda organs like Fox (R).

As the FreepBaggers pay their cable (R) bills and meekly ASSUME THE POSITION

15. Crooks and Liars sometimes posts screwy links...it's there.
Go to www.crooksandliars.com and look for the title in my OP.

"Riot Police Guard Against Anti-Billionaire Protesters in Rancho Mirage. John Amato is on the scene"

As far as the link is concerned, there's nothing I can do about that. I can post the same link again from the page I'm looking at right now and it's still going to result in "page not found."

20. See if this works
Riot Police Guard Against Anti-Billionaire Protesters in Rancho Mirage. John Amato is on the scene

If not, it is in Karoli's Blog: http://crooksandliars.com/blog/11862
You will have to go back to Jan. 30, 2011 since there is no way to link to a specific entry.

21. That did, thank you...
...I also posted in "Ask The Admins" and Skinner responded with the same suggestion. It's related to the way DU formats URLs, so in the future, if I have one with "-" at the end, I will specially format them as in your example to get around the issue.

I might also email C&L and ask if there's any way they might refrain from doing that. We send a ton of traffic to their site...I'm sure they'd consider it.

:patriot:

14. Whoever censored that PDF didn't do a very good job.
It's very easy to retrieve the text behind that black bar on the second page. Not that there's anything all that exciting behind it. I'm not even sure why it's censored.

18. It could be sedition if they were trying to set up false evidence
but I don't think they would discuss that at a meeting.
At least they wouldn't take notes.
