I just love when the American Press questions the ethics of non-American Press outlets...

Steve Kroft interviewing Julian Assange on 60 minutes.... Howie Kurtz interviewing a representative from Al Jazeera.

There is such a smug attitude in their questions as if we--the USA--- are beacons of journalistic integrity.

3. The US press is epic fail

I was embarrassed that I had to go to Al Jazeera to get the real story on Egypt. While I was watching the revolution unfold live and in real time on AJ, US outlets had fluff on the front page and stale information inside. I had to do a double take when US TV showed the Mubarak speech, it was presented as if live, yet I had watched it live a half hour earlier. And the US channels couldn't get a translation whereas AJ gave me a real time English translation that was clear and easily comprehensible.

US media is totally fail on fundamentals. They don't do journalism anymore, they do entertainment only.
