Sarah Palin to Senate: Vote Down New START
(Newser) – Sarah Palin comes out swinging against New START, the nuclear arms reduction treaty currently being considered for ratification by the Senate, in a National Review op-ed. The treaty is not "in America's interest," the former Alaska governor writes, as it "requires the US to reduce our nuclear weapons and allows the Russians to increase theirs." She also characterizes the new verification regime as "weaker" than that under the previous START, "making it harder for us to detect Russian cheating."

But most offensive is the fact that New START "recognizes a link between offensive and defensive weapons," a "linkage virtually guarantees that either we limit our missile defenses or the Russians will withdraw from the treaty." This is a no-go for Palin, since "missiles that threaten us can come from Russia, Iran, China, North Korea, or anywhere else"—and we shouldn't have to diminish our defense capabilities in general because of a treaty made with one nation in particular.

4. Not her words, not her thoughts
You can tell that she didn't write this - it is somewhat coherent and lacks the "and also therefore" word salad that TweeterDumb is known for.

No way did she write this or even understand the concept, no way.

12. I agree.
The woman is a moron, and has to have some do all her "serious" writing for her! She doesn't have a clue to what "reality" really is!

6. How about if we modify the treaty...
...to allow Sarah Palin to keep Russia under constant visual inspection (it's right next door!), with a camouflage outfit and binoculars provided. If it looks like the Russians are going to launch something, she can tweet about it.

16. She's got a birth certificate. Or something.
And from her front porch she can see Putin rearing his ugly head over the Alaskan frontier.

Or something like that.

10. Now, if the Senate Republicans DO vote down New START,
Democrats can point out that Republican senators take their marching orders from Palin. I'm sure that McConnell doesn't want to appear to be taking his lead from Palin. Recent polling shows that Palin is unpopular with Independents.

14. Since when does a quitter get to tell the Senate anything?
This ho bag likes to stick her nose into everything, doesn't she? Reminds me of a dog that doesn't know its place.
