How cold is it?
A couple of hours ago, it was 6 degrees on my front porch. Supposed to get colder tonight and the high tomorrow is -1 degree.

I hope no one is trying to survive out in this weather without shelter. After all, this is America, right?

Where are you and how cold?

22. It's in our forecast for tomorrow night.
I left our pipes wrapped from the last freeze. I hate this kind of weather. :)

23. I don't like it this cold either.
Our plant life can't take this kind of weather.

I like about 40, that is cold enough.

I wrapped the outside pipes with old sweatshirts and plastic in case it rains.

Get out the long underwear.

I was installing a culvert in my driveway this afternoon. In a t-shirt. But at least I didn't gloat about it in the subject line. :)

Actually it's 37 here just down the hill from Yosemite. Looking for a low in the high 20's.

About normal for a January night here but it must sound tropical to you.

It has coated everything with a thick layer of ice. Very dangerous travel conditions. Twenty or so miles north it is all snow up to Chicago.

15. 8F in Greenwich NY
15 to 30" of new snow forecast. Below zero wind chills. Small town, I hope we
have every soul covered. We work hard to get every one a place to stay.

Snow is inconvenient , An ice storm is what cuts power. Hope we get none of that.

Fired up the generator today. I can carry it in the back of the
truck and go around and fire up furnaces all over town to keep them going.
Keep the pipes from freezing. I'll buy gasoline in the morning to keep
the generator going. We'll be ok.

Such a wicked winter. Spring will be welcomed more this year than most.

we will get thought this.

19. We can handle it
The biggest thing has become where to dump the excess snow
narrow streets that can't handle anymore snow. we don't dump in the river.
To much salt.

Me and the neighbor share snow removable. We cooperate very well.

We both have snow blowers. We help each other and help our own neighbors on both sides as well. We will be fine.
