Link TV expands live carriage of Al Jazeera English

... As sunrise nears in Egypt on Tuesday, the day of the planned million-plus march, Link has announced that it will be carrying AJE starting at around 10 p.m. PST, which is 8 a.m. in Cairo.

According to Lili Polastri, a Web producer at Link TV, the decision to shift to AJE was spurred by social media — the same platforms helping the protests themselves.

... "We started that evening and then on Saturday morning, started back up again," she said. "That's when the flood started." Based on that reaction, the network devoted almost half of Sunday to AJE, with some live stuff on Monday also.

... At noon on Friday, Link TV staff decided to ask for the rights to broadcast AJE live. Spencer said that he could only think of two other times that the channel had "intensely" shown fare from the Middle East: the Lebanon War in 2006 and two holiday seasons ago, when violence erupted in Gaza.

2. I was surprised they were on Sunday afternoon-evening. I snoozed through

most of it, but my wife said the presenter had a lot of interesting segments, and comments/questions. My wife doesn't watch much news, but was impressed by the coverage and the presenter.

Does anyone know who the presenter was? A blonde woman?
