I've got a more suitable name for these tea partiers...
Edited on Tue Feb-01-11 10:52 AM by CoffeeCat
We need to start referring to them as "Koch heads" (Koch is pronounced like "Coke") because that's exactly what they are--slaves to an under-the-table agenda that is being bankrolled and propped up by millions of Koch Brothers dollars.

According to the New York Times, "Dick Armey's Freedom Works Foundation--a major sponsor of the tea party--recieved 12 million of its own from Koch family foundations".

According to the same article, David Koch is the founder of Americans for Prosperity, a group that has "worked closely with the Tea Party since its inception".

Koch Industries initial industry was oil. That's how they made their billions. They've lobbied against environmental regulation and corporate regulations. Their actions serve only to enrich their bank accounts while jeapordizing the safety and well being of every person on this planet. And they've got every tea-party group singing from Koch Brothers song book. Again, quoting the Times article, "Fred Koch was among the select group chosen to serve on the Birch Society’s top governing body."

Listen to this rhetoric from a 1936 Fred Koch speech--which sounds like a typical squawking tea partier. Koch warned of a "takeover of America in which Communists would infiltrate the highest offices of government in the U.S. until the president is a Communist, unknown to the rest of us." Those are Beck's words. Beck spews this mantra daily. The Koch Brothers and their radical views are being bankrolled into Beck and trickled down to the dysfunctional sheep who are more than willing to mindlessly carry water for a couple of billionaires who serve only themselves.

Koch Heads is a more suitable name--because these lemmings are addicted to and blinded by the flurry of fear-induced messages and lies that Glenn Beck tells them. And Beck has attended meetings with the Koch Brothers. The Koch Heads disseminate Beck's messages (which are really the Koch Brothers messages) under the guise of "preserving freedom", "smaller government" and "liberty". But just like a drug addict who has hit rock bottom--these Koch Heads are really serving a master who will ultimately destroy them and steal everything from their lives. They just don't know it yet.

Koch Heads--just your average, everyday fools who unwittingly destroy their own lives by insatiably carrying toxic substances for the Koch Brothers.

2. I like "Koch Suckers" because that's what they are...
A "sucker" is defined as "a chump; a person who is gullible and easy to take advantage of" and that's exactly how the Koch Brothers treated the "Tea Baggers"

But "Koch Heads" is good, too! :D

15. except it is not - only by that family
my own family pronounces it "Cook" and has since at least 1874 when my great-great-grandfather's marriage certificate writes his name as 'Cook'.

Perhaps the most common pronunciation is 'Kotch' the way the former mayor of New York pronounces it, and the way all of my classmates did even though I told them it was 'Cook'.

There is another fairly wealthy family in Wisconsin where I used to live that pronounces it as 'Koh' as though there is no C in it. For some reason, the rest of the county goes along and nobody calls them Kotch, as if there is a frigging T in it.

In the original German, it should be pronounced more like Kokh, or KoH where the H is pronounced in the Jewish way, like in Hummis, like one it clearing their throat to spit.

9. While I applaude your name change, they will always be teabaggers to me
They named themselves after a deviant, but fun sexual act most often practiced by gay men. When they figured it out, they tried to backpeddle. I'm not letting them. They called themselves teabaggers and teabaggers they will remain.

12. i can't wait for their propaganda to become public
i really, really, really want to see what their early marketing looked like, and who it went to. i'm thinking that they started out with the nra mailing list, if not militia groups.
just as a graphic designer, i want to see it. it sure did work.
