1. I'm sure old Bill will find a way to ignore and/or distort this
At this point, my only hope is that Murdoch's desperate greed will compel him to transfer Fox News off of basic cable, to a higher, costlier tier.

4. The guy can't grasp how tides work, and that explanation was published in 1687

The very suggestion that he has the intellectual ability to grasp climate change and a prediction that has only been around for 20 years is preposterous!

You may as well try to explain nuclear fusion to a chimp. At least the chimp won't think he already knows more on the subject than you do.

9. Hey look tides go in tides go out and no one can explain it
sure it is in the paper everyday- somehow THEY know when it is going to happen - but to make my point even THEY don't know why

12. you need to use a sarcasm tag for posts like that
otherwise you get serious responses like this

http://www.energyquest.ca.gov/scientists/newton.html

^snip^

It was while he was on a break from Cambridge that Newton started thinking about gravity. Scientists already knew such a force existed, but Newton found the formula to describe how much force any two bodies will exert on each other. Since he couldn't prove his theory with the mathematics available, he invented calculus to do it for him. He explained the mathematical theory on tides under gravitational pull from the sun, moon and earth

7. Listen, I can look up in the sky and see the sun revolving around the Earth...
which, by the way, is almost perfectly flat.

10. Kicked and recommended for Al Gore's explanatory patience.

I also hope Bill O'Reilly; is capable of both understanding this and of reversing his opinion, it's getting to be pretty late in the game.

Thanks for the thread, highplainsdem.

13. He even used small words and everything
Billo's really going to have to amp up the stupid to pretend he doesn't understand. He's resourceful, though. When folks were explaining the mechanism of the tides to Billo, he quickly shifted the discussion to something else entirely. I'm sure his yokel fans were impressed; those of us with more than two brain cells to rub together, not so much.

Got to give him credit for fighting the good fight when most Americans' asses are being frozen off.
