7. One reason for their "ratings"
is that there's a TV blaring Fux in many hotel lobbies, car repair waiting areas, even doctors' waiting rooms around the U.S. I even saw one at Costco when I was buying tires recently.

I can't prove it, but I very much suspect Fux went around offering these businesses free or discounted television sets if they would keep them playing Fux only. And then the Fux ratings people make flimsy estimates that 20-30-50-plus people watch each of those tvs every day. This allows them to vastly inflate their viewership ratings.

12. This could account
for most of their ratings advantage. That and teh stupid.

3. They still will always have a core audience of 30% of the country
so will only fall so far. They're not about news, they're about propaganda and keeping the base energized.

4. Fox is a circus act
and CNN is trying to tap into that crap. Well they can tap that all they want. MSNBC has a chance to gain big if Comcast doesn't squelch the trend.

5. Not surprised Beck is down
And I'm sure the Fox suits aren't either. He made a splash when he debuted, but unless you're a hardcore fan of him personally, the show doesn't offer much because he's all over the place and hard to follow.

Still, CNN and MSNBC have a ways to go. MSNBC has only one recent breakout star and CNN has, well, none. They'll need more than that to catch up.

9. They don't care as long as a plurality of morans
walk around believing their lies. And since hate radio spews the identical right-wing crap 24/7, I don't see this having much effect on anything.

10. Not that Beck on radio is the same, but
they shoved him to a low wattage station in the Hampton Roads area and brought back Neil Boortz on the main station. Not that either is any good, but Beck seems to not be cutting the mustard and it made me chuckle when the morning host talked about the changes.
