Pueblo South High graduate's luck ran out Wednesday night when he was arrested by undercover Las Vegas police officers at the casino where he is accused of stealing $1.5 million in chips on Dec. 14.

The bold heist at the Bellagio, an icon of splendor on the Las Vegas Strip, has been a subject of fascination since video of a motorcycle helmet-wearing bandit went viral on the Internet.

Undercover police officers reportedly met with Carleo on a ruse to buy the chips. Police said today that he also is a suspect in a drug-trafficking case.

A good friend of mine knows him personally....impressive heist. But not the sharpest knife
