to be ashamed of. From what we know of the people that first migrated to colder climates, they were pretty smart. Smarter than most of Becks viewers. The knowledge they had of their environment and the animals they hunted had to be impressive.
Trying to explain evolution to these people is a waste of time. You can't get through the wall of intentional ignorance and oversimplification.
No one ever said we descended from monkeys anyway. We probably won't ever figure out for sure what the common ancestor of all primates is, or exactly when the split occurred that led to hominid evolution. It keeps getting more interesting though. I'd hate to be stuck in a mindset that made me ignore it all.
