On 'Last Word', O'Donnell just gave a great rant

on 'socialized sports stadiums' that cost taxpayers far more than they ever recoup.

Put me in mind of when the new baseball stadium, Coors Field, opened in Denver. The stadium owners 'requested' that the city relocate or even close the homeless shelter that had been in the neighborhood for years. Seems they didn't want fans to have to see "those people". The city closed the shelter. Still makes me sick.

Just sayin'. Now excuse me while I go climb into my fireproof jammies.

Really, and I don't think she was kidding. Aside from that, I never know if she's joking or not, except about her plastic surgery.

IIRC, they did a massive landgrab, and the compensation wasn't squat for those folks living in the vicinity of the new stadium. Think there was a lawsuit to boot.

Same crap here in DC. Always the same theme, "this will create a huge income stream for the community - it will pay for itself." Free Money!! Talk about your Ponzi schemes, how come folks haven't caught on to this oldy but goody yet?

Disgusting.

I was so glad LO went there and named it for what it is: "socialism"
