Janet Napolitano: US terror threat highest since 9/11
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-12407859

9 February 2011 Last updated at 12:14 ET

The threat of terrorism against the US homeland is in some aspects "at its most heightened state" since the 9/11 attacks, US Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has said.

"The terrorist threat facing our country has evolved significantly," she told members of Congress.

The US faced new threats by groups already inside the country, inspired by al-Qaeda, she said.

Ms Napolitano warned that attacks could be carried out with little warning.

2. Its probably higher then they will admit
because I doubt they are counting the domestic terrorist organization that is the Tea Party.

5. How convenient
The day after the Patriot Act extension failed to pass on the fast track...and now the country is at the highest threat level..

She should have stayed in Arizona and helped to keep Arizonans safe from the repukes...instead she starts channeling Skeletor...I mean Chertoff.

11. Yeah, exactly what I thought, it seems they would've waited at least a week before
raising the alarms after the Patriot Act extension failed to pass on the fast track. Reminded me of Ashcroft.

8. Then they better come up with something better than what we're
doing now, because it's obviously not working, according to Ms. Napolitano.

Coincidence that this announcement comes one day after Patriot Act is defeated.

9. Considering what is going on throughout the Middle East, I'm not surprised.
This is probably the first time in a decade that DHS warnings could actually be right. Couple the widespread unrest in the ME with these assholes, like Peter King, who have their "investigations" and all-out war against Muslims, and two wars in Muslim-dominated countries, and you have some pretty pissed off people.
