3. I think he is telling everyone to clear out within the hour.
Looks like he is getting ready to move in the military.

14. Well then I should probably get over to FR to start reading
the Armageddon threads. Which of course will all be Obama's fault.

16. Our evil twins really do not know how to react to any
of this. And of course it is Obama's fault.

15. I think he just lost any chance to be accepted as a transitionary leader before elections...
Edited on Thu Feb-10-11 05:11 PM by cascadiance
He seems to be trying to force the people's hand in terms of getting them out of their position of power.

The people aren't stupid! They know that the minute they clear the square, the crackdown will happen and they will lose most if not all of their power. They will stay now until someone like Baradei (sp?) is put in transitionary power.

Key now is what are the actions of the military in the next 24 hours. If they don't work to enforce what the people in the square want, we could have a very bloody mess in the coming weeks! Tiananmen Square will look pale by comparison!

17. We may see a break very soon, between senior and junior
ranks. At our insistence many of those JOs were trained IN CIVILIAN universities... and yes that makes a difference.
