50. Could not agree more. And the most dangerous president ever - especially in the way
He was able to manipulate the public mindset and to help steer everyone toward voting against their best interests (and loving it). It is a plague with which we are still cursed - to this very moment.

49. Parker Spitzer is already beating Laurence O'Donnell - but there's a catch.
CNN always wipes the floor with all its competition during some big international story. Routinely. When the news settles down a little and a little more "normalcy" returns, then we'll see. But so far, Laurence O'Donnell isn't exactly turning heads.

54. It's deeper than it appears at first glance
The exchange, short as it is, epitomizes the difference in values between the sheeple and the progressives.

The sheeple actually base their major life decisions, such as voting, on such criteria as "is he in, or is he out?"

Progressives consider both facts, such as "he's dead", and opinions both supported by a large base of data and held by a variety of people, such as "he was a lousy president".

Neither of these items matter to the sheeple, as long as they believe he's "in".

55. Thank You, Reagan!
You can thank Reagan for the current political environment. Reagan started the deliberate campaign to associate Democrats as "liberals", making liberals akin to the boogieman. Down hill from there. Today's right wing would view Reagan as too liberal.

57. I love Keith
Reagan = Barney the purple dinosaur. They always sounded alike to me. I would never let my grandkids watch that show because that big purple thing channeled the big B movie actor who was the Alzheimer's president. He sold our country to the Afghans and Contras.

McConnell- he just makes me sick. He hides his bitterness as well as McCain. Two old goats that should retire to the same nursong home where they can no longer harm us. Neiter can keep up the facade of sanity any longer.

I am looking forward to seeing Keith on Current. I have not watched MSNBC since he left. He was the life of that network and the wittiest, most interesting person on board. He was also a humanitarian, free clinics and the like. The network did not like him because he told the truth and you know we cannot have that!:sarcasm:
