1. Another Domino
We are watching world history before our very eyes my friends.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone and thanks for my heart!

May the world live in love instead of fear, and may this revolution be as peaceful as possible. I will be praying for the best possible outcome.

Annette

3. The image of the young lady that was killed in Iran during the last uprising
haunts me. I pray they won't have more of those this time around.

This whole scenario is so amazing.

17. True. The Egyptian army wouldn't fire on civilians and eventually kept the police/
security services away from them as much as possible. That doomed Mubarak and the power of the peaceful protest eventually won. Neither is likely to happen in Iran.

As Mao said "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun" to which we could add "if the soldier holding it is willing to shoot". Tiananmen and Tehran have proven the adage still holds true. Best of luck to the Iranian people.

12. Hundreds of thousands march in Tehran
Iranian security forces clashed with protesters as hundreds of thousands marched in Tehran on Monday in the biggest rally by the opposition Green Movement for more than a year.

Police used teargas in an attempt to disperse the vast numbers as opposition supporters took to the streets to express solidarity with the recent uprisings in north Africa.

The crowd – whose size far exceeded the predictions of most analysts – assembled despite threats by the Revolutionary Guard in recent days to crush any gathering. At least 20 politicians and journalists were arrested before the rally.
