60 Minutes whitewash
Tonight's report on the financial problems of state government featured NJ Governor Chris Christie. Steve Kroft failed to note one of the reasons for NJ's financial problems is Christie's refusal to raise taxes and the fact that he cut taxes for millionaires in the state.

2. I was horrified at the states cutting aid to Medicaid patients who need organ transplants
This was one of the issues they discussed tonight on 60 Minutes -- all the terrible, corrupt, brutal decisions being made by state governments, decisions that inevitably brutalize the poor and middle-class while the rich are protected, as ever. I was disgusted by the issue you mention concerning NJ. This is happening in other states as well, while pensions for retired workers, teachers' salaries, healthcare for the poor and disabled, etc. are being destroyed. And we are not having riots in the streets in our own country?

Seriously, Medicaid patients, typically the poor and disabled, are now being denied funding if they are in need of an organ transplant. This is an automatic death sentence. And yet all of this continues.

3. How Dare the state workers expect a pension??
I (The General Public) got screwed by having a 401k...they should share the pain, same as everyone else!

Damn, seriously, I hate that attitude, but that is what Christie says.

5. It's the pukes 2011 plan
starve the states, and blame the unions. In the old days it was called union-busting.

6. If Christie donated his lunch money for one year to New Jersey
it would solve their budget crisis.
