OK! I've got hearts, and I'm not afraid to use them!
Any board where an abrasive, obnoxious old ex-grunt, with a penchant for profanity, can receive a couple of anonymous hearts, has got to be the most inclusive forum on the web! It's time to pay it forward.
I've got some to distribute, so who needs a heart?

5. I second that.
It's wonderful to see a parade of hearts for one person (preferably me, of course), but I remember my very first heart when I thought I wasn't going to get any. If you can give that feeling, that is the best gift. We have a lot of members. Find someone who did you the courtesy of answering a question of yours, or responded to a statement you made, and give a burst of joy.

8. I split my hearts - some to those without any and some to those I admire
I figure that was a nice way to distribute them. Wish I could give more - hearts and donations!

JI7, Not Me, ProgressiveProfessor, Mediator and bbinacan all don't have hearts so I think they could use some love. Just a suggestion :-)
