Bridget Butterfield: Let’s begin process to recall Walker
By Bridget Butterfield | La Crosse | Posted: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 12:30 am

Our new governor is sure bringing in the jobs. He will not even discuss issues with the state union, and instead just bulldoze his way around.

What is he doing as our governor? I thought people in Wisconsin were kind and cared for one another.

How do we recall the governor before its too late to repair the damage he does to our state.

This is not a dictatorship, this is America — where we discuss with one another what is best for our state and our people.

It's how Walker does his policies that is unacceptable. Let’s recall governor Walker now. Wisconsin is open for business by listening to the caring and loving people of this state with hard-working ethics and values and not to be bullied by a governor who needs an ethics class as soon as possible. Maybe all politicians should attend classes on how to treat people.

2. Except we can't for almost a year.

No petition for recall of an officer may be offered for filing before the expiration of one year after commencement of the term of office for which the officer is elected.

:hi:

It's not like we're going to do it over the weekend - as much as we wish we could.

10. My bad. 59 months.
It's one year or six. I'll take the former.

8. There is a Facebook page to that end...
As I understand it, the process will require about 350,000 signatures and can't be filed until Walker's been in office for about one year.

In the mean time, we need to make sure we vote to prepare the field for that battle. A part of that will be denying David Prosser a return to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

9. there`s a couple of facebook and websites for recalling walker
he`s can`t really be classified as a governor since he controls the decisions of all the state departments. a king maybe more fitting.

do`t look to the wisconsin supreme court because they are in chaos.

for once i`m glad i live in illinois. at least we have a democratic governor that does sort of have a clue.
