'House' Actress Lisa Edelstein Stars In 'Coat Hanger' Abortion Ad
Source: The Huffington Post

In a harrowing new ad made by MoveOn.org, 'House' star Lisa Edelstein takes on Republican legislation that would severely reduce women's reproductive rights.

As she walks down a long hallway dressed in 50s garb, Edelstein narrates the ad:

"Decades ago, women suffered through horrifying back alley abortions. Or, they used dangerous methods when they had no other recourse. So when the Republican Party launched an all out assault on women's health, pushing bills to limit access to vital services, why is the GOP trying to send women back ... to the back alley?"

The ad closes with a shot of Edelstein dressed in modern clothes, desperately reaching for a coat hanger in the closet.

8. Pictures and words only go so far...
that's all I have to show our girls, but the media needs to get this message out about what we can expect if the republicans trespass on our privacy once again.

9. Why? the GOP hates women, that's why
they like the idea of controlling what they hate, whether it's a couple's ability to marry or a woman's right to choose.

12. republicans like their women, barefoot and pregnant
or dead. They are still screaming about women going to work outside of the house, but their economic policies made it necessary. They do not like a lot of things that they actually keep going.
