Some Upsetting Hypocritical Contrasts .......

I noticed many hypocritical contrasting postings here today on DU. I thought I'd gather them here and put them all in one post and ask my fellow DU'ers to add more to this list. Reading these really makes my head spin as well as enraging me. What the hell is going on with our values in this country?

1. The sanctity of Wall Steet bonuses

Federal worker pay freeze


2. U.S. Gov Pursues Assange/Wikileaks for telling the truth

Curveball lying about WMD to help justify a war and being proud about it and free to start a political party in Iraq


3. Tax breaks for the rich
vs
Reducing funding on the backs of the middle class and poor


4. Workers topple dictator in Egypt
vs
Workers being silenced in Wisconsin


5. Military spending increases
vs
Cuts in social programs


I'm sure there are more of these. I challenge you to add to these. Please have at it and lets get a list together.

For those that don't know who spike is, it is a comment about a guy that was a coworker where I worked, my sister liked him alot. Do you see the difference between being 'only me' and what 'me' really is. That is the best comment in that song. me is also everyone in some way. It is the paradox of the individual and the community, you have to understand the individual to care about the community. Although many other people would see something else in that.

Or something like that. (authentication protocol, is what some of that stuff is.) Within a certain perspective.

What many don't also know, is that trips a conversation and an awareness of an error I had, since there was also someone at that store, not like the spike guy, that was not nice, and in that it helps me correct an issue by education by using a memory of a conversation years ago.
