The "script" of revolution...
I went into that dynamic oh a lifetime ago when we were all following all things Egypt thanks to Catherina, the others. But now it is time to look at this same dynamic here, in the good ol' US of A.

We heard from the Governor, really angry. that these people dared to jump state borders. We are hearing it from people like Ryan... I mean the Peasants are revoltin. We are at a stage where the GOP are in shock. The people are in the streets. This is not the way this was supposed to go. They were supposed to get that bill in, pass it and THEN and MAYBE THEN get some revolts. He expected them. He briefed the Guard last week before it was introduced. So here is the dynamic.

1.- People organizing

2.- Government reacts, at times violently, at times not.

3.- The police\ army apparatus takes sides (so far the cops are on the side of the people)

4.- Leader is in denial that the people don't like him or more rarely her.

5.- People continue to organize

6.- Finally allies come to the side of the people and....

7.- People win

Having the State Senators go on the Lam has bought the people a lot of time... but we ar at stage four, Walker was pissed today, and in denial. So here we are... dynamics are not just useful in distant lands.

Oh and there are variations in the script, but mostly they go like this. And we must be ready to stand for a while, This is not going going to stop in a day or two. This has the dynamic of a stand off.

Oh and if Walker does not win, he will be thrown to the wolves by the RNC. If (it already is) this expands, then it will take on the flavor or a smal time revolt. It was out of things like this that the New Deal came... which was not an expected response. But perhaps POTUS will finally get the memo and PROTECT the New Deal. If he does not... well we are now in that dynamic... so DC coud be in the future.

Well, we can always hope against hope.

While continuing to organize. And strike.

5. Barack Hoover may or may not wake up in time.
I'm betting not, but it sorta doesn't matter. 2 years is an eternity at the pace of current events. It will either be him-if he wakes up--or maybe Sanders/Feingold or something.

Russ is sounding a lot looser these days since he got shed of the anchor of a Senate seat.

6. Neither did Mubarak
or for that matter the leader of Tunisia, or Suharto.and it took the threat of impeachment for Nixon. The dynamics are slightly different, but predictable.

And yes, RW I just compared the good governor to an authoritarian thug, mostly he is acting like one. So get over it.

8. exactly
this is the only way the corporate fuckfaces will back down - when the people stand up.

this isn't just about unions - this is about the middle class of this nation telling the corporocrats ENOUGH.

We can all help out, too - this isn't in just one state. And this is for keeps.

16. Watching the AM news - looks like you're right
Remember how scared CNN was of Dean's rise and funding 'of the people'?
Well they're trying the same type of crap with this. Not character assasination, but outright lies about fat union contracts causing the debt.

Of course, Walker gave breaks to business in an amout aprox. equal to the debt. They WERE in the black before Walker.

7. I noticed that about the folks in Wisconsin watching
MSNBC tonight. They're tough, sincere, peaceful but, resolute. We're all in this together.

Wisconsin - must be the cheese ;)

11. We have one problem.
We have the world's most powerful military and they will follow their commander in chief to the gates of Hell. We know this because they followed Bush to Afghanistan and Iraq even though 80% of the country didn't want war and there were massive demonstrations nationwide about it. So as long as the military doesn't get involved we have a chance.

13. Federal forces are way too over stretched
and there is a reason why Walker has not called the Guard. serious.

14. I hope there are extenuating reasons why the
military will be the last call made. Keeping my fingers crossed because when they get involved, it's all over with.
