Democratic State Senators Who are Out of Wisconsin are Filibustering with Their Feet

That's the line everyone can understand. What the 14 Democratic senators are doing is no different than what the Republicans in the U.S. Senate did for 2 years while in the minority.

The only difference is that Wisconsin law has an unusual quorum requirement so that all 14 Democrats, by being away, can hold up business if a bill is onerous, just like a filibuster.

A filibuster with their feet. Please use that line and explain it like that. Everyone will understand it.

The Senators are taking a necessary step to prevent a horrible injustice. It's no different than a filibuster.
