I've been looking my whole life for signs of rampant discrimination.
And I have found it. In the Republican party.

They use prejudice, innuendo, defamation, lies, jingoism and fear to rally their troops. For them, it's never been about truth or logic. It's about controlling their people so they could use them the way that generals using a distraction during a time of war. As long as they can keep us distracted facing off directly with their ignorant masses, those generals (community leaders, elected officials, corporation heads) have the freedom to do whatever fraudulent activities they want without anyone being the wiser. It's like looting a town's resources during a time of war. Whose going to have the time to notice when there's so much else going on in the chaos?

And even afterwards, the chaos continues. Their people are so blinded from the truth that when the inevitable failure of the Republican's programs become apparent, they succeed in pushing the blame on to us.

So, here's the thing.

I've been saying it for as long as I've been on DU. The only way to beat them is to hold them accountable for their mistakes. Find the proof and make sure that the truth gets aired on FoxNews. We need to bring the fight to their turf. Find a way to get the message across like that guy who would not stop shouting that Fox Lies.

Nobody from our side should plan to get on Fox without being prepared to make a similar statement.

1. Often IMO democrats are reluctant to point out the truth in the media spotlight. Being

nice about republicans is not a strategy. They are ruthless, crude and often sociopaths. The have absolutely no interest in being bipartisan, compromising and/or brokering a solution. Yes, you could easily do this with republicans of Eisenhower's time, but the "new" republicans are a new critter, a plague.

2. I don't think this is a fight that will be won using our politicians.

They are so mired in the graft from the donations they take from their crooked donors that they can't represent us properly anymore. Listen, you have Democratic law firms who are offering succor to crooked Republicans who have nothing more to offer than their networks to big money. As long as we have these people influencing our politicians, it's going to be up to the third tier to resolve the problems.

The third tier is anyone who can get face time on Fox News. Anyone from the angry guy on the street, to talented professionals who are willing to put civility aside in order to tell the truth.

3. Agree! Most politicians of today are insular to the needs of the majority of
citizens. And proof IMO that we no longer have a democracy, but more an emerging (or emerged) fascist state.
