2. Texas is 3rd, I believe
Well behind California, and also behind Illinois. Although I think it's pretty difficult to draw a correlation between collective bargaining rights, and state deficits.

4. I am trying to figure out how many of the states with the biggest budget deficits do not
have collective bargaining.

I think more states with big deficits do no have it, so then how could collective bargaining be the big boogie man the GOP make it out to be.

11. Collective Bargaining States and SAT Scores
Here:

These scores don't necessary prove that collective bargaining is best for student achievement. There are so many factors. Socioeconomic factors of student is a much bigger contributing factor.

6. Let me point out that our last Colorado governor permitted it by executive order
And the newly elected Republican senate majority is seeking to overturn it. The current Dem governor said he doesn't see any reason to overturn it.

Anyhow, the current status that permits it has very little teeth.

7. In the 11 states where collective bargaining is "permissable,"
wonder how effective it is.

9. A protester in Madison had a sign with ACT/SAT score
rankings. Of the 5 states that have made collective bargaining illegal, the ranking is as follows: South Carolina 50th; North Carolina 49th; Georgia 48th; Texas 47th, Virginia 44th.

This says it all. Our poor kids.
