Obama has taken apart obstructionist resolve.
I am awed by Obama's ability to ruin the intended ban on allowing any Dem agenda item to succeed. I think the past few days will see the right infighting about capitulations. While I think the tax dealy less than expected, it too functions to annoy. All the while we scream that he is ineffectual. Like an unwanted mouse on an elevator, silent but deadly.

7. I appreciate the tax benefit I got.
Since I am one of those who is not poor enough for benefits, but is barely making it, I really don't give a shit if he had to compromise.
Our family is faced with unemployment too. So those extra dollars that our family will get mean a lot.
If it means the rich get some of it, I'm fine at this point. Hopefully later it will change, but for now, and in this economy, it was the right thing to do.
At some point I think people here need to care about the needing friend and not be so heartless.*

*some here will get the reference

13. Once again I'm reccing a thread where I don't totally agree with the OP, but I think it's an
interesting viewpoint. However, the unrec's are winning again. I don'tthinkof rec or un rec as a vote on whether one agrees with the OP. This tactic is not helping DU.
