5. A lot of people bought into it at first - they didn't understand the
depths of duplicity to which Bushco could sink. Yes, they should have paid attention and yes, they should have understood what many of us did, but our country had literally just been attacked and people were fearful. Have some compassion. At least he's still not supporting it AND wants to go after those who are responsible.

7. People grow, people change. If we don't take that possibility into account,
we do everyone a great disservice.

Fer Chrissakes, what to these people have in common?:

John Dean
David Brock
Wendell Potter
John Perkins

etc.

10. What's Matthews's motives?
Seems like a strange issue to bring up now, when the focus of this country is in the political warfield of Wisconsin. As many rightly note, Matthews was 'all in' on the run up to Iraq2. He'd occasionally ask a relevant question, but then his meds would be adjusted and he was back to pimping Bush and the policy.

OTOH, we know that war crimes were committed, it's just that political courage is needed to demand justice. Iraq cost this country a lot of dead and disabled American soldiers, countless innocent Iraqi casualties, our International reputation, and around $2 TT in total Treasury/economy losses. The Casus Belli was a lie. And Bush/Cheney aren't held accountable. I'm all for a serious national discussion on ths issue...but I I wonder why Chris would start trying to promote this issue now, given the current events focus of the country today.

11. I think something is changing.
I'm not sure, but I think it's in that realm of: First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then you win. I think that those who were use to living off the crooked system, now realize the jig is up. People are just not going to take it anymore.

The tide, it is finally changing.
