DeFazio introduces 2 bills to help Seniors and Soc. Sec.
You can actually register your approval of these bills on a new sister site of GovTracl.org.
The site is Popvox.com, and for each bill it shows which groups are for and against it plus a place to register your
vote.

Here are the 2 bills DeFasio introduced:

H.R. 798: To require the establishment of a Consumer Price Index for Elderly Consumers to compute cost-of-living increases for Social Security and Medicare benefits under titles II and XVIII of the Social Security Act.
see info at https://www.popvox.com/bills/us/112/hr798

H.R. 796: To amend title II of the Social Security Act to ensure that the receipts and disbursements of the Social Security trust funds are not included in a unified Federal budget and to provide that Social Security contributions are used to protect Security solvency by mandating that Trust Fund monies cannot be diverted to create private accounts.
https://www.popvox.com/bills/us/112/hr796

If you want to share an opinion on these bills, PopVox allows it, or you can just vote yes or no.

Govtrack.org provides full text and status of the bills.

5. Just on a gut hunch about 25-35%. It really depends on who rallys around them, whether they...
...receive public support, get discussion airtime in the news, etc.

But I'd say my estimate is not too far off, at least in this current political climate.

6. H.R. 796 sounds real air tight. I hope they are able to keep those hedge funders from touching it...
