Telling elderly people to look out for scammers promising cheap home improvement, doing an estimate, getting some money up front sometimes, and then disappearing after doing extremely shoddy work that is worth a fraction of the price that they were paid.

Now I notice that we give out tax cuts, and in return we have sacrificed our infrastructure and social programs, and these tax cuts were supposedly going to go and create jobs and prosperity. But they didn't. Instead, I see lots of wealthy people and corporations running to Cayman Islands tax shelters. Weird, huh?

The PSA came from the Department of Justice, just curious, do they have a thing set up for this so-called "tax cuts" scam that is bilking about 300 million Americans out of their money, their jobs, and their quality of life?

1. this scam happens in every recession, it is not new.
you have out of work construction workers, who need to feed their families and some with low morals. Last recession, people would dig up plants from people's yards and then sell them door to door or do gardening jobs with them. Another scam/theft. All crimes go up in recessions.

2. Get what you are saying
A PSA for construction scams and crickets for the corporations that take our money and run, and may I add, banksters that detroyed the world's economy and are sitting in plain view working out their next scam.

...promising cheap home improvement, doing an estimate, getting some money up front sometimes, and then disappearing after doing extremely shoddy work that is worth a fraction of the price that they were paid.
