Where the hell is Obama on the Wisconsin protests?
As unions are under attack by corporate interests with the help of the republican party democrats on the national level are nowhere to be found. Aside from very ambiguous statements there has been no call to action from President Obama and leaders in the democratic party.

This was the statement from President Obama on the situation:

Some of what I've heard coming out of Wisconsin, where you're just making it harder for public employees to collectively bargain generally seems like more of an assault on unions...And I think it's very important for us to understand that public employees, they're our neighbors, they're our friends.

Generally seems like an assault on unions? This is a fucking war against the very people that helped get you elected and you want to be timid in your response? At this point why even bother? Why not just hand the republicans the next election. We all saw how well being timid and constantly giving in to republicans played out in the 2010 elections.

To be fair the DNC has been on the ground providing much of the initial support for these protests. But without a national voice we could very well lose this fight, and so far Obama has refused to step up. Other states are following the lead of Wisconsin and corporate backed pro-tea party groups (all though late) are starting to flood in to these states.

This is not a time to be timid, this is time for real leadership.
