In Wisconsin, workers who are under attack—and the communities that know and respect them—created such an outcry that all 14 Democratic members of the Wisconsin state Senate left the Senate chambers in protest, indefinitely delaying a vote on Gov. Scott Walker’s anti-worker bill.
This is the kind of strength it takes to win victories for workers. We need to make our voices heard whenever and wherever attacks occur, in Wisconsin and in our own states.
All over the country, Americans are standing up to politicians who are launching political attacks on firefighters, teachers, nurses, snowplow drivers, EMTs and other hardworking people who keep our communities safe. Our politicians should be creating jobs—not attacking nurses, teachers and firefighters.

P.S. After giving tax cuts to businesses to create an artificial financial crisis in his state, Wisconsin’s Gov. Walker tried to ram through a sham “budget repair” bill that actually is a huge assault on Wisconsin’s workers.
