2. I'd take any story from Gaddafi's state media with a grain of salt.
He's been frantically spreading disinformation about everything and everyone, including the interior minister. In that long incoherent speech he claimed the interior minister had been "shot with bullets" and "disappeared." Later the interior minister showed up and said he had indeed been shot at, but the would-be assassins missed him.

I'm not saying the story isn't true, but I'd definitely consider the source before placing too much credibility in it. All psychopaths lie, and Gaddafi's a cornered rat right now.

3. So, Libyan state television is putting out propaganda in order to explain his disappearance.
That's what it sounds like to me.
And then Libyan state television will probably say that 'the kidnappers' made him say those things that he said about resigning etc.

I haven't seen anything that Libyan state television has shown that was true (other than Gaddafi's live speeches).
