2/22/2011 Was a sad day in Ohio

You have no idea how heavy handed the governor and his safety director
handled the 10,000 to 15,000 labor supporters in Columbus yesterday. John Kasich
split town and turned the state capital over to Thomas Charles, Director of Public Safety
and he had the doors of the state capital locked so only about 500 to 1,000 people got inside
the capital ...... They were working 24/7 to make sure that the protests didn't grow and
become like Madison, Wisconsin ...... F***ing Swat Teams, mounted police, state troopers,
Columbus P.D. and lots of plain clothes in the crowd it was a brutal show of force end of
story. When I went downtown yesterday I was sickened to see how the citizens of Ohio
were treated and that they had to be managed like prisoners or threats to society w/ guns,
horses, and swat teams. To see the mounted cops lined up 10 abreast made me think of
of 1960s and the police in the south trying to crush civil rights marchers.

It was a very sad day in Ohio's history.

COLUMBUS: Democratic legislative leaders in Ohio said Tuesday that they were prepared to ask a judge to force officials to unlock the doors to the
Statehouse as thousands of union protesters gathered for a hearing on a bill that would strip public employees of collective bargaining rights.

4. that's when you double down. you are just seeing the physical
manifestation of Kasich's tiny penis. Mother Jones said an asst. Attorney General tweeted either here or in Indiana to use 'live ammunition'. His head needs to roll.

5. I am surprised anyone is surprised by this
So far their propaganda apparatus has managed to hold the proletariat at bay. But I knew when push came to shove they would point weapons at us (not that I was there, but by "us" I mean the little people). If you think non-violent protests are going to take the country back from the Koch brothers, time to wake up & smell the napalm

I am sorry to hear such a report. I remember the 60s and even though I was just a kid ... I certainly can remember the feeling of seeing such events. It is saddening to see so very little progress in how our government deals with events such as this in the last 50 years.

continue to keep us updated...
