Huge "pill mill" busts going on in Florida today. Rush reported to be inconsolable.
Doctors targeted today in federal, county raid in pill mill crackdown

Federal and local drug agents raided four Palm Beach County pain clinics and at least two houses today in a sweeping pill mill crackdown here and in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, authorities said.

The effort, dubbed "Operation Pill Nation," marked the culmination of a year-long effort to dismantle unscrupulous South Florida pain clinics, which authorities say are supplying multi-state drug traffickers and fueling a prescription drug abuse crisis in Florida and across the eastern United States.

It targeted five doctors working out of four medical offices in Palm Beach County, including a former abortionist who is the son of Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper.

In Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach, Lake Worth and Delray Beach, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agents, Palm Beach County Sheriff's detectives, the state attorney's office and other agencies stormed medical offices, detaining customers and, in at least one case, leading a doctor away in handcuffs.

1. The suspects rounded up in this operation
should all petition the court to change their last names to Limbaugh before the trial. It worked for him and maybe it will work for them as well!

Cheers!

5. Great. The war on pain management continues.
Just fucking wonderful, until one gets something like bone cancer and can't get adequate meds because all the doctors are terrified of the DEA.

Yes, but who cares if people are suffering in pain? The important thing is to make sure no one, ever, gets an unauthorized buzz. :eyes:

10. Absolutely.
Although that should also be legal, regulated, and taxed for recreational use if people so choose.

9. Yep.
Much of this stuff is sold over the counter in other countries, and they seem to be managing.

Republicans complain about the "nanny state", yet keep expanding the war on drugs until soon even your aspirin purchases will be monitored and limited.

11. Florida. The state that sent a wheelchair-bound man to prison for his pain medication.
