Does our president have to make a public statement about everything that is happening
in other sovereign nations. I am listening to tweety's complaint. We have citizens that are in danger there. Our state department is trying to get them to safety. There is a need for the generics of diplomacy until our citizens are safe. Every time somebody whines about the president needs to make a statement, he succumbs. Secretary Clinton decried the violence in her statement earlier. Is she not a representative of the president's administration? Hell, he is going to be criticized the minute he opens his mouth. Some will be satisfied and some will keep their job of criticizing.

2. I agree, in this particular case. Kaddifi is a lunatic and is dangerous.
My guess is that the president is getting advice from experts at the State Dept. on this country and they are saying to cool it for a bit longer. This is a more perilous situation than many people think...

3. Citizens are out, that is why they are making the statements
they waited until...

Oh and not that these guys will tell you this, but the Libya is bad, yada, yada, yada (and they are) is now talking point at the Security Council, and EU nations too. This is coordinated.

6. Last I heard, the ferry won't leave until tomorrow
Bad weather delayed it, so U.S. citizens are still in Tripoli until the ferry gets out in the morning.

4. its the problem with our low nutrient; high sugar "news" media
they always needs something to chew on, like a baby needs a finger, nipple or pacifier. If the President makes no statement they whine, when he does make a statement they rip it to pieces and whine for more.

5. I would hope they would evacuate as many people as possible
Before they go and provoke this coked out thug and his mercenary army. They will try to massacre, burn, and rape the entire city of Tripoli before they are finally put down.

9. President Obama is playing this correctly...
For all we know if President Obama came out forcibly against Gaddafi he could round up some Americans & hold them hostage!

The man & his regime are EVIL!!

Get every America out of that country before we do anything!

Plus, the revolution could be harmed if the "Great Satan" appears to be involved!

I trust Obama more than anyone here or the loud mouth talking heads on TV!! It is easy to sit behind & news desk & run the world!
