Shep is RIGHT. . . (And it's time we, for once, control the narrative)
Edited on Wed Feb-23-11 05:42 PM by Faryn Balyncd

As even Shep Smith observes, this is NOT about a fiscal crisis.

What it is REALLY (or at least SHOULD BE) about is Gov. Walker's felonious conduct.

It's time we go on the offensive and, for once, CONTROL THE NARRATIVE.

The Koch Brothers want this to be about a phony "fiscal crisis", and to exploit this to destroy collective bargaining.

But perhaps we would be best served not by merely defending collective bargaining, but by re-framing this and going after the felon in the governor's mansion.

1. It's hard to do when the WH has adopted that narrative - and acted on it...
...by freezing gov't worker pay.

2. This is the narrative that we should have been using........
all along and everywhere. IT'S BEEN A CLASS MASSACRE UP TO NOW. Since we're sorta fighting back, it's finally become a class war. And we're on the side of the people.

I, for one, don't know why the Hell it's taken so long for most pols to admit it.

8. Yeah, I know. I guess it was a stupid question...........
We've got one party that's a wholly owned subsidiary of the capitalists and the other that's half owned. Any wonder that I'm a socialist?

4. Who is in charge of our party???? Who plans the daily political
moves??? Who develops the Democratic Daily Talking Points?

No one that I have observed. The Dems on the Hill have
admitted in the past there is no overall srategy.
Their approach is to permit the Republicans to put out
their ideas and they selectively push back.

In other words they give the Republicans free reign to
go on offense and they "try" to play defense.

Losing Losing Losing strategy.

5. I wish there was something we could pin on the
Koch brothers. There has to be something illegal in what they are doing. It's definitely unethical.
