could you at least WAIT until you ARE rich, before voting Republican???

You unbelievably self-destructive un-American fucking morons!!!

Seems like it would save everybody a lot of grief.

3. Wanna Know The REALLY Weird Thing About It?
There was a study done recently where Republican voters were polled, and the vast majority of the people who support policies that benefit the super-rich over everyone else HAVE NO ILLUSIONS THAT THEY'LL EVER BE SUPER-RICH THEMSELVES.

Try wrapping your brain around that one. It would be one thing if they thought they were all going to be rich someday, so let's "set the table" for when I get there. But the vast majority of them know full well they'll NEVER get there, yet CONTINUE to vote that way.

I'm telling you, the mental gymnastics you have to go through in order to vote Republican. It boggles the mind.

4. So many people get their politics from their parents and never
look back. If a guy voted for Reagan the first time because his dad was an Eisenhower guy, I could see that. These people that are Republicans because they were taught Reagan was a saint though, are out of their minds! Reality should kick in at some point.

6. I Think It's Even Worse Than That
It's been my experience that about 10% of the voting public actually has a set of beliefs, sets out to find the candidates that best support their beliefs, and then vote their conscience.

The other 90% chooses a "team" and then cheerleads. They think politics is just a big game, and all they want is to be on the winning team. So come Election Day, they can say, "Ha ha! My TEAM won!!!"

There is no other explanation for how so many people can so consistently vote against their own best interests.

7. Perot voters come to mind. They had no long time allegiance to that
guy. They just jumped on the band wagon, as did I, at first. It didn't take long for him to lose me though. I still have the bumper sticker I never got a chance to put on anything.
He said something in a debate, I think it was with Gore on larry kings show, that told me he had no clue what the Bill Of rights was all about. When asked about the drug problem he said something like, first we have to build a national consensus, then we cordon off city blocks, and do house to house searches. Now if that didn't scare you off, especially second amendment people, nothing could.
You know that some people made up there mind early on, and there was no way they would change, or anything you could say to them that would have any effect.

5. Especially any kind of government employees
You have no idea how many I worked with, in social services no less, who thought of themselves as libertarian leaning Republicans. Sucking at the teat of the Democratic Party and stabbing that mother's milk right in the eye at the ballot box. Aaagh!
