I just talked to the "Famous Ross" at Ian's Pizza! His ankle is feeling better!
But he's still on the phones today. Again he took my pizza order just now!

Don't know if anyone's been following it but he's the kid who slipped on some icy pavement and fell and rolled his ankle. He posted about it on the Ian's Pizza FB page. He took my first order a few days ago.

He says THANK YOU on everyone's behalf for all the pizza donations - AND for the sympathy and concern people have shown to him personally. I told him some of us were moms and what moms do for a living is worry, so we've been worrying about him. I certainly have. He said he'd gotten that from a lot of people who'd heard about him and his ankle. He said he hadn't told his own mom yet because he knew she'd be worried too.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Rock On Wisconsin!

If anybody wants to order to feed the protestors, it's (608) 257 - 9248, and then hit 1 to place a phone order. Evidently there's a BIG protest tomorrow so they could undoubtedly use support then, too.

2. Indeed! The news is so dismal all the time that I HEARTILY recommend a visit to Ian's Pizza FB page.
It will perk you up and make you feel much better. It'll encourage you with proof that SOMEBODY's doing SOMETHING, and that there is a lot of support for that.

It'll perk you up.

10. I did a pizza, a platter of meat pies from Myles Teddywedgers and a fruit platter
from a Fresh Market.

There's a sub place that has been listed elsewhere. I'm thinking a platter of sandwiches might be my next order. Or maybe veggie wraps for the health conscious...there seem to be lots of options...

4. I placed a smaller order today. Tomorrow's the big protest - I plan to order more then.
Did you see this FB page?

http://www.facebook.com/scottwalkerdouchebag

The Facebook page is called scott walker is a douchebag! More than 30-thousand people like it already! LOTS of stories about buyers' remorse. Okay. So you voted republi-CON. Happy now?

5. Kicking this to feed the protestors!
Both today AND tomorrow. And as long as necessary, I think.

7. Who knows, maybe Ian's Pizza will become a
national historic icon someday, much like the Stonewall Inn.

Don't forget the other businesses in town, who are also sending food and supplies to the protesters.

Solidarity.

8. Just as an FYI - I would place pizza orders for weekday only and here's why
This weekend is going to be alot of day visitors to the protest, people who are coming in already with their own food. I'd rather send my pizzas to those who have been camping out day-in and day-out.

Thoughts anyone?

9. I suspect there might be some hungry people out there tomorrow nonetheless.
I'm gonna order tomorrow also. The pizza folks were gearing up.

Ross said he was on phone duty again today while his ankle heals, but he expected to be out delivering tomorrow. Sounds like they're expecting a big day.

At any rate, they're probably ALL gonna need more water!

12. THat's what I thought, too. When I spoke to Ian's they said people were dropping
off all kinds of things at the capitol. Bottled water, coffee, even toilet paper.

13. Just saw this latest suggestion on Ian's FB page:
Someone posted:
As I mentioned above, I spent yesterday volunteering at the food, beverage and medic table at the Donation Station in the WI State Capitol which is organized by the TAA (the UW-Madison Teaching Assistants Association). Food has been donated... by individuals and businesses from Madison, and from around the country and world. Thank you!!
IF Ian's Pizza is closed for the day when you try to order, you can also donate funds for food directly to the TAA via pay-pal, which is used to purchase food and other supplies such as throat lozenges and aspirin for protesters:
http://www.helpdefendwisconsin.org/

Be sure to try to order from Ian's Pizza first though. TY!

14. Thanks for the story! I hadn't heard about him but glad I did while reading
good news! I hope it continues to get better.

Thanks for ordering pizzas! I think this is such a wonderful side story to what the courageous, determined people are doing in Wisconsin! :hi:
