If they keep obsessing on the finicky "independents" that we'll never get back, we won't.

If you fight you can win-if you fudge, you fail.

1. If the Democrats routinely turned out *their own base* at elections, they'd win
...but that narrative doesn't play into the issues the corporate masters want emphasized or talked about...

2. I doubt that will happen, as our new DLC overlords disapprove of such measures.

4. yep.. it's not "nice" and it's "messy"
our leaders like to give the "other side" more-than-equal-time, and then whimper about how unfair it is when they lose to the goons:(

3. So true - and if our "leaders" don't fight now, there will be openings for...
...new faces to step in - ready-made campaigns for populists to run.

5. So true
they have to fight for something. Why not the people who vote for them.

6. Put Howard Dean back in charge of the 50 state strategy!
That should do it.

7. YES!
Why on earth he was taken out I'll never understand. MAYBE if he was put in as Secretary of Health and Human Services it would have made some sense, but the administration failed to utilize him in any way and we paid a heavy price for it.

And, yes, the passion and guts displayed by the WI dems is what the base has been yearning for for years. Stop pandering to wishy-washy independents and we'll win again!

8. If Obama had fought half as hard as Wisconsin Dems,
Democrats would have won the elections across the nation.

It's Obama's personal fear of dealing with conflict and confrontation that caused the huge Democratic loss in 2010.

And of course much of his fear is due to the fact that he has surrounded himself with Wall Street supporters like Geithner and gang. Of course, if I had to deal with the likes of Timid Timmy and the rest of the Wall Street gangsters and banksters in Obama's midst, I, too, would be terrified.

Obama needs to get out with the fearless folks of Madison -- not to tell them what to do but to soak up some of their courage.
