I was wondering why we mostly had zero counter protesters
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2680679/posts

NEXT WEEK.. maybe it will be less cold...

I support their right to organize, but they will double it from what 3,000 (official) to 6,000 people? Wait... weren't they supposed to get 10K the first time around?

Oh and kids, even if you manage to do that... 100,000 pretty much still outnumbers you.

(Oh and unofficial numbers were 300, so I guess 600 is doable)

2. It's too effin-cold for freepers to be out protesting.
They would rather stay at home, count their money, and light votive candles next to a picture of Hosni Walker.

But I doubt you'd want to be at home genuflecting to a picture of Duhbernor Walker.

21. rather dour, heh...
I much prefer people that enjoy other people and people that care about their neighbor (even if they are a little "different") and people that will fight for each other and people that are optimistic and open minded...

27. They look so small and sad
I feel sorry for them.

Their message sucks, but their vitality for showing up is pretty good. I don't think they will last very long, because they don't have the crowd to keep them warm and the spirit to keep them going, but still. They showed up, poor things.

*wink*

30. Ironically, old goats ...
are incredibly capable of withstanding harsh conditions. They live on a mountainside, they only eat sparse vegetation, and they live together in a herd, protecting the weakest of their members. They gather together when it gets too cold, and are intelligent enough to lead the sheep.

Don't knock "old goats" *big grin*

17. The Unions terrify the teabaggers
They are oh so tough when it comes to intimidating anyone they think is weak, but the thought of confronting teamsters or steel workers makes them piss their pants.

33. That's why they characterize them as thugs
They are terrified of people who are more physically developed than they are, which is about 75% of the planet in their own age groups. Republicans are not people that are in good shape, as a whole. If they last, it's only because they have done a lot of running away, unless they come from a military background. They are a different animal altogether, but those that come from a military/civil service background and aren't suffering from issues due to PTSD or other trauma tend to be strong willed and level-headed individuals.

The worst thing we have done is reduce spending for police and military members to have treatment for PTSD, because that is a real harm to themselves, their families, and their communities, not through a fault of their own, but through our own fault of not treating it. We may not be responsible for voting for the wars, or for putting our men and women in these situations, but as a society, we are responsible for helping them get the care that they have earned.

we had a gal on crutches and an old lady with just a walker. Trust me... there was not even a dusting of snow on the ground.

I think the gal with crutches... I think I posted it

And we counted ONE possible counter protestor
