Family Values

I am sending a letter (plus an e-mail and making a phone call) asking First Lady Michelle Obama to take a public stance in support of the working class people in Wisconsin.

President Barack Obama does not appear ready and/or willing to put on those comfortable shoes that he talked about while campaigning for office. Maybe there is a good reason for this. Maybe not. I won't pretend to have an answer to the questions about his lack of public involvement in this.

However, I want to believe that Michelle Obama is sincere in her support for the families that make up the communities in America. Children's eating right requires that their parents have jobs that allow them to make ends meet.

Thus, I am contacting Michelle Obama, and asking her to stand up for the dignity of the American public. I hope that you will consider doing the same.

(I will post any response that I get. Or, if there is no response, I'll make note of that, too.)

Thank you for your consideration.

Peace,
H2) Man

2. I will concede that President Obama has a lot on his plate right now
But I do think he could be more supportive of the people and their clear struggle than what he currently is.

4. More supportive? Like cutting funds for low-income housing, heating for poor people, Head Start, et
He has LOTS of time for the cuts to poor people.

3. Good strategy. At the events she spoke at in Raleigh, she seemed
to be strong minded enough to speak her mind forcefully. Get her and you've got some visibility.

5. Good idea.
I will do this too. I have sent several letters, emails to the WH with no response tho they were all politely written and requesting a response. Earlier this month I asked the Obama campaign staff to stop sending me emails as I cannot support his cutting of LIHEAP. Disappointed but not without hope yet it seems. Will send an email thru her site in the morning.
