Walker is gonna be gone as Governor .... it is just a matter of time
Just remember every passing day brings the State of Wisconsin one day closer to being
able to recall Walker. He has been in about 2 months and he can't be recalled till
he has served 1 year and because of that phone call Walker is now a pariah and the
people of Wisconsin are pissed off at him and they will get their pound of flesh when
he is removed from office.

I wish we could do the same thing in Ohio w/ Kasich.

<"I don't budge," Walker promised the fake Koch. He explained that he would increase pressure on
state workers by threatening thousands of them with layoffs. He considered planting instigators in
the crowd, he said, and he might offer to talk to Democrats - but only as a ruse to get them to
return. "I'm not negotiating," he said.

These are not the words of a statesman. These are the words of a hooligan.>

1. Calling forth the spirit badger
Cunning badger of the forest,
Guide me to wisdom, truth and light.
All injustices against me,
Wipe clean the slate and set them right.

9. No, weasel is too nice an animal to describe him.
I'll not insult any animal with comparing it to that POS.

And I am not kidding about that at all.

He's the perfect t-bagger candidate,AND he is willing puppet of the superrich. What a lineup!

6. That would be a GIFT to the Democrats
all wrapped up in a nice little bow.

Hell, we could get Dennis Kucinich elected against that fool.

15. But the GOP doesn't know that. And Scotty, like the Pooh
would gladly give up this little bowl of oatmeal for the big bucket of honey.

8. Nope. It's likely to be a few months after that date.
Here are the rules: http://elections.state.wi.us/docview.asp?docid=11827&locid=47

Then when there is a recall election Democrats will have to do something they did not do last November: GET OUT AND VOTE!.

11. Thank you!
I thought that they could gather signatures starting in late fall 2001 and that
the paperwork could be filled 1/4/12.

18. we can start gathering signatures earlier
1. May individuals petition for recall if the office holder has been in office for less than one year for the current term being served?\

No petition for recall of an officer may be offered for filing before the expiration of one year after commencement of the term of office for which the officer is elected. A petition may be circulated 60 days before the expiration of one year, but may not be offered for filing until after the officer has completed one year in office.

He was sworn in on January 3, 2011.... 60 days before January 3, 2012, we can start signing. There are several organizations already gathering information - names, email address, phone numbers - so that when the day comes, all we have to do is start signing. One individual gathered 500 signatures (before this weekend) and has emailed each of us to "recruit" 10 more friends/families to the list ... believe me, when the time comes - he's outta there.

We just have to survive until then.

although I would love to see charges brought against him in the meantime. If we can get rid of him sooner, so much the better.

19. Likely, at a minimum, it will take 550,000 signatures and 600,000 would be better.
Edited on Sun Feb-27-11 12:04 PM by elocs
That will not be a simple, slam-dunk process. The Republicans will certainly scrutinize and object to thousands of those signatures and that will all take time. Then when the petition is certified it will be 6 weeks before there is an election. At the very best this will take until mid February of 2012 or later and much more likely an election would not be until in March some time.

All of this passion and fire must be maintained until then and we must get out the vote to defeat Walker. He got 90% of the votes that McCain got, so the Republicans know how to get out and support their candidate and yet he won by less than 125,000 votes. His opponent, Tom Barrett, got only about 60% of the votes that Obama received and that amounted to some 600,000 fewer votes. So we have the votes to defeat Walker if we really want to do it because he never should have been elected in the first place.

Let me add this sign that I saw in Madison yesterday because it is so very true:

22. My camera takes AA batteries and I had an extra pair.
As I recall my batteries died not long after I took that picture. There were so many good signs but so often they were past me before I could take a picture.

12. Walker is a dictator
and Wisconsin will not tolerate it. He will be gone as soon as he can be recalled or the good people can keep enough pressure on him to make his tenure ineffective.

my crystal ball is on the fritz.

There are second acts in American Politics, and I never underestimate the ability of the electorate to be fooled.

14. I think that if he becomes a liability to the Koch brothers
They'll dispose of him quickly. He is where he is because they thought he could deliver. He can't do that anymore. They'll happily throw him under the bus because they like to work in the dark, far away from any scrutiny. He's exposed them through his own stupidity.

17. But in disposing him, are they ready to make a play for public power?
They've exposed themselves as the puppet masters.

With the illusion broken, how do they go back behind the curtain?

24. It's easy to create a distraction to get attention off themselves
I'm sure they've done it many times. This time they made the mistake of being too bold and getting too many new governors to create the same union busting legislation too quickly and at the same time. They're so close to what they want that they exposed the plan thinking it was a slam dunk. But they aren't just going to fold and back off. They don't do that. For all we know they can start a war somewhere, or create another massive terrorist attack in the US. That would get everyone's attention and the Koch brothers would be forgotten in an instant and they would probably even profit from their actions.
