Does Scott Walker still have the internet cut off for the protesters in the capital?
Scott Walker takes cue from Mubarak. Cuts Internet access to protesters in Capitol building
Wow. Just wow. Egyptian tyranny in Wisconsin. Freedom means nothing to this oligarch.
CNN follows up on the story and quotes a state employee confirming that the protest-organizing website has been blocked
"No one here at DOA decided to block it or took action to do so," he said. "The website is handled like any other website."
State Department of Administration spokeswoman Carla Vigue responded, saying, "DOA's security software automatically blocked the site, as it does all new websites."
Oh yeah Vigue, we buy that. Yeah.

If anybody has more info. on this action, and or the length of time it has been cut off, please post-thanks...

3. We need to get serious about any government intervention
of the internet.

More discussion on the ramifications regarding foreign terrorism and our computer system. Can't go there today, TMI not enough brain cells. File 404 not found.

:dunce:

4. I couldn't successfully upload ANY pics in real time from the square yesterday.
Every time I tried to upload to FB or Twitter it failed - even when I had strong 3G coverage.

7. I had a signal and could get calls and text messages - just couldn't upload data.
It was weird. I do think the networks were just overworked more than intentionally jammed, though.

9. It was a supreme honor to be among the fine people
The mood was electric, the people so very impassioned. Peaceful, kind, helpful and AMAZING. They hand out water, offer gloves, sweatshirts, food, hugs. It's beautiful.
