People of America we have heard your cries against the hate mongering and violent rhetoric of Glenn Beck and we stand with you.

No longer will we tolerate his incessant conspiracy theories intended only to incite hate and violence in the uneducated. No longer will we sit idly by while he promotes racism, bigotry and xenophobia. No more will we be silent while he fends for the RichFags under the disguise of patriotism while pandering his books and the wares of his advertisers.

Take heed Glenn Beck, if you do not immediately cease and desist your hate and fear mongering your broadcasts, websites and advertisers are in jeopardy. You must immediately broadcast a full appology to all the people you have attacked and offended. You must immediately end your hate rhetoric and fear mongering and use your position of power only to promote unity and peaceful resolutions from henceforth. The choice is yours.

People of America you can help Glenn Beck to see the error of his ways by refusing to acknowledge his broadcasts and boycotting his adverisers, websites and books in a very public manner.

Anonymous is an advoate of freedom of speech, but with that freedom comes great responsibility especially for those in a position of power like Glenn Beck that can use their speech to incite hate and violence. Therefore, we will no longer tolerate his incivility, lack of restraint and moralfaggetry.

a "new*ag" is a newbie to anon (or its treehouse on /b/)

an "old*ag" is the opposite. If someone is a teacher, they
will call themselves a "teacher*ag"

basically, they affix "-*ag" as a suffix to every word.

Do I like their terminology? No. But it's what they've always done at /b/.

It means EXACTLY what it means. Just because they use it as a suffix doesn't change it's meaning... they didn't decide to use it as a suffix as if it meant a bundle of sticks.

Racists tried to use this excuse too concerning the "n" word.

But at least someone is willing to admit that the shitheads on /b/ are the same shitheads that make up Anonymous.

Around here Anonymous has nothing whatsoever to do with the freaks at 4chan.

I absolutely agree that people should know what they're all about, but around here the Anonymous fans refuse to. The few of us that have made the attempt to bring this up have gotten piled on and thoroughly lambasted. Just a week or so ago a poster brought this up and it was a REALLY ugly pile on including accusations of trolling since the poster had less than 1000 posts, and you know what THAT means.

That's DU for you - a person or group is either thoroughly evil or thoroughly angelic.

And frankly a lot of people on /b/ are barely above fart jokes (that's why they're called /b/t****s). It's essentially the armpit of the internet. But nerds are nerds, and DUers (including myself) happen to like these nerds because they go after people we don't like. We just have to grasp that Anonymous isn't made purely out of V's, but just people with strong political beliefs and a lot of computer experience, who do the DDoSing on the side.

And if I recall correctly I think you were one of the very few of us that had known of the 4chan kiddie connection and had mentioned it. I could be wrong about that.

Which ever one or few of "Anonymous" comes up with the idea of hack attacking certain groups that DU seems to like, may be the one or few with strong political beliefs, but the kiddies going along with it and doing the vast majority of it are doing it purely for the lulz and because they can be easily led by the nose - like always.

is installed on lots and lots of computers. The owner slaves their computer to a go-signal sent from some other machine, and never actively targets anyone.

Certainly it's even on some computers at Fox News. Authorities will be sifting through a lot of IPs, and many (if not most) of them will be utter investigative dead ends.

Those who have used them to spread hatred are the only people to blame for the uneasiness caused by such words, but words really are all about context. There's no word that should be uniformly offensive in 100% of all situations, but the history makes it understandable.
