Tea Party is actively harassing the 14 Wisconsin state senators
Edited on Mon Feb-28-11 11:39 AM by steve2470
“Those Tea Party folks are very harassing,” Jauch said, in an interview conducted under the agreement that the specific location wouldn’t be revealed. “They’re very intimidating. They’re in your face. They don’t care about anything that goes on in Wisconsin, and they’re very disruptive.”

So the senators meet in one location, sleep in other locations and meet with media in still other locations. Invariably, the Tea Party catches up with them, and they switch to new locations.

3. No, you mean those peace loving all America Teabaggers
are engaged in harassment and intimidation. Can't be true, everyone knows Teabaggers are always the victim of evil liberals and nowadays, union thugs.

8. This is a rare opportunity in politics.
They have a chance to be part of a watershed moment in the history of the Working Class Americans.

Embrace it.

13. I am sure that's true. But that could be a hard perspective to see
for the senators who are much like Allied landing parties on D-Day. It's moment to moment for them, and they bear more suffering than almost anyone other than those who lose their jobs with the layoffs tomorrow.

5. I'll bet a lot of these are paid RNC operatives.
Remember the "Brooks Brothers" riot in Florida in 2000? I imagine that more than a fewq of the hard core WI baggers are on the RNC payroll. It's their job to disrupt. It would be interesting for someone to investigate that.

16. I worked with a young kid a couple years ago who had been a right wing operative
Edited on Mon Feb-28-11 12:48 PM by proud2BlibKansan
He said he grew up republican and was recruited by a conservative PAC when he graduated from college. He lasted about a year. He told me they are training stooges and are only interested in those who agree to comply and learn the talking points. He said after a few months, as he learned more about the country and how people really lived and what they really cared about, he realized the GOP was going in the wrong direction. So he quit his job, moved back to the Midwest and registered as a Democrat. He immediately got involved with the Obama campaign and loves the energy of the Democrats.

Really interesting kid. I loved talking to him.

10. Can't they have them arrested for stalking?
If they would take pictures at every location and show the same person harrassing them and following them place to place, isn't that stalking?

12. The psychology of a Tea bagger
Weak minded paranoia, reinforced by malevolent conspiracy theories and a happy, feel-good tendency to believe they are superior to people who don't agree.

Psychology Today has published one mental health professional's diagnosis of the pathology of the Tea Bagger. Dr. Michael Bader provides an astute examination of a serious emotional malformation, complete with clinical examples and prognosis. Bader's conclusion is that the victims of this brewing epidemic of acute paranoia warrant our sympathy and understanding.

Fox News, of course, is the foundation of this electronic therapy. They happily feed the conspiracy-primed psyches of people whose barriers to irrationality are already severely weakened. The loss of tangible assets like property and work leads to a fear that more significant intangibles like liberty and faith are also at risk. They are convinced that the human values that have been present in society for centuries are under assault and are losing the war. So they invent explanations that soothe their conscience, even while creating new dangers and anxieties.

Why would they do this, Dr. Bader? Read it here: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/03/07/843793/-Psychology-Today-Takes-On-Tea-Party-Paranoia
