1. I'd prefer that unions not officially align except for candidates.
If a candidate is pro-union, the union can and should endorse them. But the DNC isn't a candidate and right now, isn't pro-union (and I'm still a dues paying Democrat and union member).

2. It would conflict with my CT Dem governor's demand of $2 billion
in concessions from the public employee unions. Gov. Malloy's demand -- $2B Negotiations Begin -- is considered extremely excessive per some CT Progressives -- Is Malloy Bullying Or Merely Posturing?

3. today I hooked a labor action up with an anti-war action
There was a picket line at Pathmark Supermarket -
{story here: http://www.teamster.org/content/workers-cs-dont-take-new-jersey-jobs-out-state }
and I stopped to talk to the Teamsters, and they were talking about going to Washington next month for a demo, so I told them about the small march which will be held in my town, and they are going to join us.

We must hook-up all of our small and large groups.
Make sure we all know about each other.
Sometimes people working on the same issue don't know each other.

6. As others in this thread have stated, I come down ................
on the side of workers organizing their OWN protests in every state. IF there's a Dem pol with enough labor cred to pull it off, they can join the LABOR protest.
