Time to raise taxes on things that contribute to weight problems: every ounce of soda
TYLER, TX (KYTX) - A bill in the Texas Senate is proposing to tax every ounce of soda and many other drinks you purchase at retail stores and in restaurants.

Senator Eddie Lucio Jr. of Brownsville has introduced a bill that adds a tax of one penny per ounce to beverages sweetened with sugar or artificial sweeteners. Lucio said it could generate $2 billion a year in revenue and reduce obesity levels.

"I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper," Jacksonville resident Melissa Spikes said. "I'm a good ol' Texas gal, love my Dr. Pepper."

Spikes doesn't go a day without getting a fix of her favorite soda.

We should also triple the gas tax (spewing toxins, killing the planet), any food purchase that has over 300 calories, foods with a high carb content, and books over a certain amount of pages (Carrying them can lead to back injuries, might cost us money).

Birth tax - if you exist, you will eventually get sick. That's a tax'in.

If we can just be like the pilgrims and others we can control social norms, herd people into our ways, stop the sinners while still loving them, and bring our brand of faith to those ignorant savages who think freedom is something good.

Diversity is hurting this country, there are too many variables, hard to control.

Let's work together to fix the broken souls who are only hurting themselves and pissing off our god (money and controlling costs).

(note - there might have been a touch of sarcasm there...)

That does not make money my God, since I will not give up the justice and compassion and better thoughts for those things.

But know with fairness, they are due.

Side note there are some concepts I disagree with in that show, ancestors and stuff, that stuff is spiritual not by blood lines.

To the person thinking that question, yes there was a similar inspiration in that episode.

3. No need
end corn subsidies.

Cheap corn = cheap high fructose corn syrup = cheap cokes.

It would save money and also reduce our consumption of a great many unhealthy snake items (including artificially cheap meat and dairy)
