The full list, which you'll find at the link, is stunning.

Part of the rules for the Senate gallery:

— Visitors must be seated and quiet at all times, with no leaning over the balcony or putting anything (such as signs) over the balcony.

— No signs or public displays, reading of books or newspapers, tobacco products, or food and beverages.

— Cell phones and pagers must be turned off, no photography (video or still) or sound recordings allowed.

And this is part of what the Assembly gallery rules prohibit:

— Eating, drinking, smoking, talking, use of mobile phones, laptop computers, video cameras, still cameras, newspapers, bags, briefcases, signs, posters, placards, or hats.

2. There's a loud protest going on right now inside the Capitol. Link:

UPDATED 10:50 A.M. -- LANSING. -- Several hundred union members were lined up this morning on three floors of the Capitol Rotunda, chanting "Kill the Bill," to stop what they view as anti-union legislation.

House and Senate bailiffs were allowing the loud protest to continue this morning; an outdoor rally moved inside the building about 9:30 am.

The protest is an effort to pressure state senators to scrap a proposal that would give broad new powers to emergency financial managers appointed by the state to run struggling cities and schools.

Ray Holman, a Haslett state worker and spokesman for United Auto Workers 6000, said there were no plans by his union to end the indoor protest anytime soon.
